Job Description
Direct Support Professional Developmental Disabilities
This role supports individuals with developmental disabilities (e.g. autism cerebral palsy intellectual disability epilepsy) in a group home setting. Youll coach mentor and assist members with daily living and skill-building activities tailored to their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Support members with daily tasks (bathing dressing eating toileting etc.)
Implement personalized care and behavior support plans
Plan and lead skill-building and recreational activities
Administer medications and assist with basic health care
Prepare and serve meals following dietary needs
Perform light housekeeping and maintain clean safe environments
Participate in team meetings and data tracking
Use basic therapy lifting and behavioral support techniques
Communicate effectively including using sign language if needed
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of direct care experience
Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs
Flexible schedule (nights weekends holidays)
Basic computer skills (timesheets training documentation)
Read/write English and follow written/verbal instructions
Compassionate dependable and team-oriented
