Department Overview



Position Summary

The GME Coordinator performs graduate education planning implementation and coordination for all activities involving medical students residents and fellows. This includes overseeing all compliance documentation coordinating call schedules for inpatient pediatrics and scheduling all graduate education conferences. The role is also responsible for orientation administration and evaluation of all trainees on the inpatient pediatric service. This position requires working closely with the director of medical education the director of medical students and the director of graduate medical education as well as the program coordinators from all of the affiliated training programs.

Additionally the GME Coordinator organizes and coordinates office operations and Graduate Medical Education rotations; offers high quality front-end support services and organized efficient management of administrative duties; and oversees the efficient running of the office including execution of office procedures and trainee-related tasks. This position supports the Director and Associate Directors of Medical Education.
This position will work with APP and allied health disciplines learners at the graduate level and above.



* Associate Degree or comparable experience required Baccalaureate Degree preferred.
* Minimum of 1 year secretarial and administrative experience and computer proficiency.
* Experience in a medical setting desirable.
* Working knowledge of graphics and spreadsheets.
* Advanced Word and Excel experience.
* Knowledge of Medical Education (residency programs medical school etc.)

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate internal equity and organizational needs.

In addition to your salary this position may be eligible for medical dental vision retirement and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
