Position Summary:The Beverly Public Schools are seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as the Facilities Operations Manager with HVAC or Plumbing Focus a hybrid leadership and technical role that combines the oversight of daily facility operations with hands-on engineering and maintenance role supports the Director of Buildings and Grounds in managing the operations of 8 school buildings 26 custodial staff and all building systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills technical expertise in building systems (HVAC electrical plumbing) and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced public-school Duties & Responsibilities:Facilities Operations & Oversight: Assist with day-to-day management of school facilities and custodial operations. Manage custodial coverage coordinate cleaning schedules and monitor performance and work quality. Collaborate with the Director to plan and execute facility upgrades capital improvements and maintenance projects. Serve as the primary point of contact for building emergencies and respond to after-hours calls as needed. Oversee and perform inspections of buildings and systems for safety cleanliness and Systems & Technical Support: Supervise and perform routine and preventive maintenance of HVAC plumbing electrical mechanical and life safety systems. Troubleshoot repair and maintain mechanical systems to ensure proper building operations. Maintain and update the Building Automation System (BAS) and respond to system alerts or failures. Provide oversight and support for snow removal groundskeeping and weather-related & Project Management: Coordinate with city-consolidated services and outside vendors for plumbing electrical and HVAC work. Manage vendor relationships contracts and service-level agreements. Monitor budget constraints especially around plumbing and HVAC repairs and perform in-house work when feasible to reduce Responsibilities: Maintain maintenance records vendor logs and inspection reports. Participate in budget preparation and help manage maintenance-related expenditures. Take over administrative duties in the absence of the Director. Ensure compliance with federal state and local codes and safety regulations. Assist with updating and enforcing Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and other regulatory plans.
