We are seeking an Integrated Project Team Lead to join our Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities team in Indianapolis IN supporting multiple aircraft sustainment efforts that include next generation avionics software development and data integration to address our customers need for rapid capability integration improved safety postures digital interoperability and communications. This role represents the Raytheon team in meetings and at events with the Government and other contractors on the program provides technical leadership and guidance to a cross-functional Raytheon team planning and coordinating engineering work that supports the ongoing sustainment including the addition of new enhancements and capabilities. The Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities Team provides technical leadership to the engineering team serving as a primary point of contact between Raytheon and key stakeholders external to the organization and between the Agile team(s) and program leadership.
What You Will Do
Effectively work with and communicate with multiple levels of management customers and individual contributors on teams.
Responsible for the technical fidelity and quality of the systems engineering work products and associated analyses that document the technical baseline.
Assist in the development of solutions that meet customer requirements within cost schedule and quality constraints.
Manage customer/stakeholder requirements and the decomposition of those requirements into product system requirements
Plan system testing and the development and automation of test cases scripts and execution
Develop system architectures and designs for embedded systems to comply with the SEMP (Systems Engineering Management Plan).
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelors in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years related experience in systems or project engineering or program management.
Experience in project management or leading teams in product development across the program lifecycle
Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) and/or implementing Earned Value Management (EVM)
Technical leadership and implementation experience with the avionics life cycle (requirements design development hardware and software integration and/or requirements verification).
Experience with Agile and/or DevSecOps principles and tools.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with Aviation COMM Suite including UHF VHF and SATCOM
Experience with DOORS DOORS NextGen model-based development in Cameo and/or SCADE and developing cloud-based requirements
Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with multiple levels of management and individual contributors on teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with management of Government sub-contracts
Experience planning programs from the ground up
Experience in creation of Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Familiarity with the V-22 aircraft and platform support processes
Experience with development lifecycle design reviews (Internal gates SETRs SOIs etc.)
Masters degree in an Engineering specialty
Experience in avionics development integration and modernization programs
Experience working with teams co-located in multiple locations across the U.S.
Familiarity with Standard Government Deliverable documentation.
Active and transferrable DoD Secret or higher Clearance
Experience with commercial development standards including DO-178C and DO-254 standards for avionics; as well as Military standards such as MIL-HDBK-516C MIL-STD-882E and MIL-STD-1553B
Experience in the areas of reliability systems safety and cybersecurity solutions
