You will provide optimal patient care for all patients at St John of God Berwick their families and significant others. This care will be provided in collaboration with all members of the health care team including medical practitioners and allied health practitioners. This care will be guided by a working knowledge of hospital policies including OH&S Infection Control Waste Management and Quality Improvement.
We are currently seeking Casual Enrolled Nurses to support increasing demand across our Medical Surgical and Rehabilitation Units. Flexibility to work regularly across different shifts and days to assist us in meet the changing staffing needs of the hospital will be essential for this role.
The Position
Function within the legal and registration constraint relevant to your Enrolled Nursing Practice
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
Maintain and develop clinical skills required to deliver high quality holistic patient care
Adhere to and supports hospital policies procedures and standards
To monitor patient progress and escalate any changes or concerns to a registered nurse or manager
Provides patient education and participates in discharge planning as required
Accurately document patient care
You will have current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse and a minimum of 12 months recent experience in general medical and/or surgical nursing roles. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support effective teamwork will be essential to this position.
To succeed you will have an understanding of legislation and standards related to OH&S Infection Control Waste Management and Quality Improvement and clinical practice in a relevant environment. You will also demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and desire to continuously improve your nursing practice

We will offer you
Salary: $40.69 to $45.24 per hour (casual loading included) plus 11.5% superannuation
