Job Description
The Medical Equipment Delivery Driver is responsible for driving to and from healthcare locations to complete delivery and equipment management tasks for a district office including customer delivery and pick-up of medical equipment; processing cleaning inspecting and testing equipment including inventory maintenance. Build relationships with patients families and care givers.
Thurs - Sun 4x10 On call rotation
What You Will Do in This Role
- Safely load secure and deliver medical equipment to customers. Retrieves equipment from customer locations safely transporting the equipment back to the office.
- Educate and engage customers at the time of delivery keeping customers informed on the features and functionality of the equipment
- Complete all paperwork in a timely manner to ensure accurate documentation for billing inventory and regulatory compliance.
- Obtain appropriate signatures to verify receipt of items delivered
- Operate assigned vehicle safely and efficiently
- Report major repairs service needs incidents or accidents to proper authorities
- Takes on call time on a predetermined rotating basis during week and weekends
- Performs warehouse and office maintenance tasks as required
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid drivers license in state of residence
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Delivery experience preferred
- Driving experience required
- Experience working in healthcare home health or the medical field preferred
