Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) YUMA
Department of Veterans Services
Pay Rate;$42-$44
Schedule: Night Shift 12hr shifts 6:00am-6:30pm. Working 38 hours one week and 48 hours the next week. 2-week rotations working every other weekend.
As an LPN at YUMA you will provide professional nursing care to geriatric residents administer treatments and medications and oversee subordinate staff. Working under the direction of an RN or physician you may act as charge nurse and lead other LPNs and CNAs as needed.2-week rotations working every other weekend.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver prescribed nursing care and treatments within LPN scope
Administer medications (oral injectable enteral etc.) and perform wound care catheter care and other clinical procedures
Monitor and report on resident condition and treatment effectiveness
Supervise and support CNAs in providing ADL assistance
Participate in admissions care planning MDS assessments and documentation
Communicate with families and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care
Maintain supply levels and ensure medication availability
Participate in shift reports staff meetings QAPI initiatives and in-service training
Apply Arizona Management System (AMS) tools for continuous improvement
Qualifications:
Current LPN license in the State of Arizona
Knowledge of geriatric care pharmacology nursing practices and regulations
Strong observational communication and leadership skills
