Job Description

Join and lead Fractorys Data Team

Location: Flexible (Tartu or Tallinn preferred)

Type: Full-time

Fractory is at the forefront of revolutionizing manufacturing with data-driven solutions. Our platform connects companies with production capacity automating quoting optimizing supply chains and driving efficiencies.
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist & Team Lead to join our growing Data & Analytics team. This role combines deep technical data science expertise with strong business ownership and leadership responsibilities. You will lead a small team working on impactful projects with a strong focus on pricing automation and workflow automation two key levers for Fractorys growth.

Hands-On Technical Contributor

This is not a purely managerial roleapproximately 60-70% of your time will be spent on technical work. Youll be knee-deep in data building models pipelines and tools that have real impact across our business.

Independent Leader with Ownership

Were looking for a proactive self-starter who is comfortable taking ownership and driving initiatives forward. In a small team versatility is keyyou should enjoy switching between different types of work.

The Role

  • Lead Data Science Projects
    Take ownership of impactful data science and machine learning solutions that drive business growth. Work closely with product engineering and business teams.
  • Mentor and Grow Your Team
    Lead and coach a talented team of scientists and analysts helping them grow while pushing the teams performance and collaboration.
  • Data-Driven Decisions
    Ensure decisions are based on KPIs. Lead the creation and prioritization of data-driven opportunities and stop non-impactful work.
  • Optimize Processes
    Help drive our teams and platforms efficiency by identifying areas to streamline and scale.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration
    Work closely with other teams to align data-driven insights with business needs.
  • Constant Learning
    Stay current with the latest trends in data science machine learning and manufacturing technologies.

    What Were Looking For

    • Hands-on Data Expertise
      You have strong data science machine learning and statistical analysis skills. You know how to implement these in production environments.
    • Leadership & Mentorship
      Youve led teams mentoring and motivating them to perform at their best.
    • Problem Solving
      You break down complex problems into manageable solutions that balance efficiency and impact.
    • Collaboration
      You work well with diverse teams aligning efforts and ensuring smooth communication.
    • KPIs & Business Focus
      You prioritize work based on data insights setting and using KPIs to make strategic decisions.
    • Tech-Savvy
      Expertise in Python R SQL. Experience with MLOps cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
    • Passion for Learning
      Youre always learning improving and curious about new technologies and methods.

    You will stand out

    • Experience in B2B platforms or supply chain data.
    • Interest in mechanical engineering or 3D modeling.
