Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Cardiac Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse (Cath Lab RN) to provide direct high-acuity cardiovascular care in a collaborative and fast-paced hospital setting. This role involves close coordination with physicians techs and interdisciplinary team members to ensure patient safety and excellent outcomes throughout invasive cardiac and interventional radiology (IR) procedures.
Key Responsibilities:-
Deliver direct patient care in accordance with facility protocols nursing standards and physician directives

Monitor document and communicate patient condition and vital signs including EKG and hemodynamic data

Implement assess and adjust patient care plans based on evolving clinical status

Assist with cardiac catheterizations angioplasties pacemaker insertions and interventional radiology (IR) procedures

Serve as a primary coordinator across care teams ensuring smooth transitions and clear communication

Prepare patients for procedures administer medications and monitor for procedural complications

Document all aspects of care clearly and accurately in the medical record

Participate in discharge planning in coordination with case management and other disciplines

Adhere to infection prevention protocols and maintain a safe environment at all times

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (Required)

BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) Required

ACLS certification Required

1 2 years of relevant nursing experience (Required)

Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology (IR) experience strongly preferred

Strong critical thinking communication and organizational skills

Ability to work effectively in a high-stakes high-acuity environment
