Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN ED) to join the night shift team. This fast-paced high-acuity ED requires RNs with at least 2 years of recent ED experience who can confidently provide rapid assessment triage and emergency care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver safe timely and patient-focused emergency care in a fast-paced ED environment

  • Triage assess and manage patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions

  • Administer medications monitor IVs perform procedures and assist with rapid response interventions

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to stabilize patients and manage transitions of care

  • Document all care and patient interactions accurately and efficiently in the EMR

  • Adhere to hospital protocols infection control policies and emergency care standards

  • Float as needed to support department coverage during high patient volume or staffing gaps

Requirements:
  • Active RN license (Rhode Island or Compact verified via Nursys)

  • Current BLS ACLS and PALS (AHA Required)

  • Minimum 2 years of recent ED nursing experience (Required)

  • 2 professional references verifying ED experience (Required)

  • Strong clinical assessment critical thinking and emergency response skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in high-pressure situations
