Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a high-performing surgical services team in Ohio. The RN will provide comprehensive perioperative care for patients of all ages-from neonates to older adults-throughout the surgical experience. This position requires critical thinking collaborative teamwork and strong leadership in maintaining safe and efficient operating room practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver both direct and indirect nursing care in the perioperative setting using the nursing process of assessment planning implementation and evaluation

  • Coordinate care with the surgeon anesthesiologist and surgical team to ensure safe seamless procedures

  • Supervise and direct OR Technicians and other support staff while maintaining professional nursing standards

  • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and patients to promote safety and understanding

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies regulatory requirements and infection control protocols

  • Actively participate in Performance Improvement initiatives in-services and unit meetings

  • Promote efficient patient flow and assist in the organization of the OR for continuous high-quality care

  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to peers and newer staff

Qualifications:
  • Active RN license in the state of Ohio (Required)

  • BLS certification (AHA Required)

  • ACLS and PALS certification (Required)

  • Minimum 1 year of recent operating room nursing experience (Preferred)

  • Excellent interpersonal organizational and critical thinking skills

  • Experience working with neonates pediatrics adolescents adults and geriatric populations in surgical settings is a plus

  • CNOR certification (Preferred)
