Are you a passionate and resilient teacher ready to make a difference in the lives of young people with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
An innovative and inclusive secondary special school in West London is seeking two dynamic SEMH Class Teachers to join their team from September 2025. The school supports a diverse cohort of learners including students with SEMH and Autism Spectrum Conditions. This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals committed to inclusive practice and imaginative teaching.
We welcome applications from teachers across all subjects but we are particularly interested in those able to deliver Mathematics or Science up to GCSE level. A TLR may be available for suitably qualified and experienced candidates.
Deliver engaging adapted lessons to learners with complex needs
Use creative strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement
Plan innovative learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom
Collaborate closely with therapists support staff and families
Play a key role in the school s ongoing journey to becoming outstanding
Qualified teacher status (QTS or QTLS)
Experience teaching students with SEMH ASD or additional needs
Ability to adapt the curriculum to meet a wide range of learning profiles
Strong behaviour management and a traumainformed approach
A sense of humour and a passion for creative active teaching
Confidence teaching your subject to KS3 and ideally KS4
A commitment to inclusive studentcentred education

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills) Degree-level qualification (e.g., BA, BSc, or equivalent in a relevant subject) Specialist SEN training (e.g., NASENCO, Team Teach, MAPA, or similar) Postgraduate qualification in SEND, Inclusion, or Child Development Experience teaching Maths or Science to GCSE level (subject-specific degree is a plus) Mental health or trauma-informed training (e.g., Thrive, Attachment Aware, Mental Health First Aid) TEFL/ESOL
