COMPUTER TECHNICIAN

REPORTS TO: Technology Director
FLSA Status: Exempt
JOB GOAL: To perform technical tasks and provide support for the technology infrastructure to support the needs of the Lee County School System.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee frequently is required to stand walk sit and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision and color vision.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions moving mechanical parts extreme cold risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
MENTAL FUNCTIONS: While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to compare analyze communicate coordinate instruct compute synthesize evaluate use interpersonal skills and compile. Occasionally required to copy and negotiate.
WORK SCHEDULE: The work day shall be established by the supervisorbut shall not exceed 7.5 hours per day excluding hour for a duty free lunch unless other arrangements are made by the supervisor.
EMPLOYMENT: This is a 12month position 7.5 hours per day. Board approved salary schedule.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on evaluation of support personnel.
