This fulltime tenuretrack faculty position works a 175day faculty work year in accordance with the district/faculty agreement beginning January 2026 (spring semester). Appointments are contingent upon Board approval. Initial salary placement is $65071 $84644 annually with future steps to $119657. Placement on the salary range is commensurate with education and experience. The college offers a fringe benefit package including medical dental vision disability and life insurance employee assistance program and CalSTRS membership.

Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Academic Affairs andthe Dean of Science Mathematics & Engineering:
Assignment may include a combination of day evening weekend offcampus classes and online or other technologysupported instruction. All contract and regular faculty are required to adhere to contractual obligations meet assigned classes maintain regular office hours assist and advise students participate in division activities and appropriate college committees including regular faculty meetings of the department division and College. Napa Valley College believes in ongoing professional development that assists faculty in improving their teaching skills providing support to students and encouraging responsibility within the college community.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Masters in computer science or computer engineering
OR
Bachelors in either of the above
AND
Masters in mathematics cybernetics business administration accounting or engineering
OR
Bachelors in engineering
AND
Masters in cybernetics engineering mathematics or business administration
OR
Bachelors in mathematics
AND
Masters in cybernetics engineering mathematics or business administration
OR
Bachelors degree in any of the above
AND
A masters degree in information science computer information systems or information systems
OR
the equivalent
(NOTE: Courses in the use of computer programs for application to a particular discipline may be classified for minimum qualifications purposes under the discipline of the application.)
All degrees must be from an accredited institution.
Experience:
