You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailHeartShare St. Vincents Services (HSVS) Nuevo Camino program is dedicated to providing 38 unaccompanied minors ages 512 with a supportive nurturing environment through transitional foster homes daily education Monday Friday and supportive wraparound services in the Sunset Park section of New York City. Our program is rooted in ensuring that service delivery is trauma informed culturally appropriate and tailored to the needs of each child while maintaining all program requirements of ORR.
A Case Aide supports Caseworkers by assisting with documentation scheduling client transportation and communication. They help ensure child safety facilitate family reunification and maintain accurate service records.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of Position:
Provide case management support and coordinate community referrals.
Assist Caseworker with essential paperwork and documentation.
Schedule and prioritize work duties in partnership with the supervisor and other team members and in adherence to ORR state licensing and internal deadlines.
Administer case notes and documentation on time based on guidelines and procedures set forth.
Assist Case Managers with providing ongoing education and support services to foster parents.
Maintain contact with clients and foster families during a Caseworkers absence to ensure coverage of all program cases.
Attend and actively participate in meetings with supervisor and/or team to consult on cases review case plans and direction and evaluate client participation and progress.
Coordinate office inhome and/or offsite meetings with foster parents and unaccompanied children on a regular basis according to ORR and state licensing requirements.
Maintain accurate and uptodate information on children in care in accordance with ORR and internal documentation standards and reporting requirements.
Assist Case Managers in maintaining client contact for case followup or intervention as requested.
Translate both written and verbal communication for program clientele and staff.
Maintain effective communication with community agencies or individuals involved in service provision.
Attend internal and external training and apply newly gained knowledge in providing services.
Accompany youth to immigration hearings or procedures as requested.
Transport youth to appointments and unifications as needed.
Be engaged in supporting the team and provide suggestions that will strengthen the program.
Provide timely professional and responsive communication with the team and other stakeholders.
Attend home visits with the case manager as needed.

Shift 2 (Evening Shift: 3:00 PM 11:00 PM)
Schedule A: Monday Friday
Schedule B: Tuesday Saturday
Schedule C: Sunday Thursday
