Job Description

The IT leader of Warehouse Management System (WMS) leads the execution of WMS strategy (implementation of strategic integrated WMS) continuous improvement of WMS platforms and support of WMS across the organizations distribution network.

This role is responsible for ensuring that the WMS ecosystem is optimized for operational efficiency realtime visibility inventory accuracy and business scalability.

In addition the Leader will spearhead the integration and operationalization of WMS related Agentic AI solutions to enable autonomous decisionmaking improve workflow automation and enhance system responsiveness across warehouse operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

WMS Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and own the WMS roadmap aligned with enterprise supply chain goals and in line with organizations Supply Chain IT strategy.
  • Collaborate with the business and lead implementation of SAP WMS and Blue Yonder WMS system solutions including upgrades its integrations with ERP TMS and others and optimize the configurations.
  • Evaluate and deploy bestinclass technologies including emerging technologies like agentic AI to transform overall warehouse capabilities streamline business processes productivity and reduce error rates.

Business collaboration & transformation:

  • Collaborate with Distribution and Warehouse Management team and other key stakeholders including IT to transform business processes in line with industry leading practices using industry leading WMS from SAP and Blue Yonder.
  • Work with Distribution and Warehouse Management teams to ensure business realizes and maximizes the value from deployment of WMS solutions.
  • Work with business on prioritization of the initiatives and continuous improvements requests factoring in broader Supply Chain and IT objectives and strategies.
  • Own WMS related projects and deliver projects and continuous improvement requests in agreed upon time and budget.

Agentic AI Integration:

  • Lead the adoption of WMS related Agentic AI capabilities to empower systems with autonomous decisionmaking adaptive learning and intelligent optimization.
  • Use Agentic AI to automate routine tasks such as labor allocation picking path optimization demandbased replenishment and exception handling.
  • Integrate AI agents to interact with WMS robotics and IoT devices for dynamic workload balancing and proactive issue resolution.
  • Partner with IT and data science teams to train and monitor AI agents and ensure alignment with operational KPIs and compliance standards.

Implementation & Optimization:

  • Lead and manage endtoend implementation and scaling of WMS across multiple sites. Deliver these transformation initiatives in agreed upon time and budget.
  • Use datadriven insights to optimize warehouse layout labor planning and inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure seamless synchronization and integration of WMS with upstream and downstream systems.
  • Own continuous improvement of WMS solution.

Team & Vendor Management:

  • Lead and mentor WMS analysts solution architects and operational technology staff.
  • Oversee vendor performance and contract negotiations for WMS platforms AI tools and automation partners.

Change Management & Training:

  • Drive organizational readiness through structured change management and user adoption strategies.
  • Develop training programs to upskill staff in WMS functionality and AIenabled tools.

Compliance & Governance:

  • Ensure WMS and AI systems adhere to regulatory requirements IT security protocols and data privacy standards.
  • Continuously monitor and audit system performance data integrity and uptime.

 

 


Qualifications :

 

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Information Systems or Engineering (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • 10 years of leadership experience in warehouse/supply chain operations processes and WMS solutions.
  • Deep expertise and 10 years of experience in successfully leading transformation of warehouse operations using WMS solutions.
  • 5 years of handson experience in Warehouse management WMS platforms (Blue Yonder and SAP WMS) and system integration.
  • Experience in leading 2 complete life cycle implementation of Blue Yonder or SAP WMS solutions across large global businesses.
  • Familiarity with Agentic AI concepts and their practical applications in autonomous decision systems.
  • Strong leadership analytical and crossfunctional collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Handson experience implementing or managing AI/MLdriven technologies within logistics or warehouse settings.
  • Experience in AIenhanced warehouse automation (e.g. robotics computer vision realtime digital twins) is a plus.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or other process improvement training.
  • Ability to operate in agile fastpaced environments and scale systems rapidly.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $140000 USD $220000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to education training experience professional achievement business need and location. In addition to base salary employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a rolebased sales incentive plan.
