Job Description
Shodair Childrens Hospital is seeking an experienced and detailoriented Controller to join our leadership team. The Controller will assist the CFO in overseeing all financial operations for the Hospital and Foundation including accounting payroll budgeting audits regulatory compliance and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting payroll accounts payable and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead monthly financial closes and preparation of statements.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state financial regulations.
- Develop internal controls and safeguard assets.
- Manage cash flow investments and budget processes.
- Coordinate annual audits and tax reporting (990s 5500s).
- Provide financial analysis and reporting for strategic decisionmaking.
- Collaborate with leadership to support operational and financial goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business (with accounting emphasis) required.
- CPA certification required.
- Minimum 5 years of senior financial management experience.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare finance preferred.
- Proficient in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent leadership analytical and communication skills.
- Masters degree and prior supervisory experience. strongly approved.
- Prior experience in hospital or healthcare financial management a plus.
