JOB SUMMARY
Performs professional work associated with the Office of Human Capital Management to include support with unemployment technical support for the school systems automated applicant tracking system assistance with reviewing employment applications and supporting professional personnel work with administrative processing of employee records associated with employment separations job transfers etc. Supports and manages the daytoday operations services and functions of the school systems automated HR Applicant Tracking System for all school system vacancies progressively assuming increased oversight of the system. Provides training for system users including newly appointed principals/managers. Ensures efficient operation of the system. This job requires an experienced administrative individual with a customer service focus who has strong communication and interpersonal skills excellent computer skills and outstanding telephone etiquette. The ability to multitask and function in an environment with changing priorities and to work with a diverse group of people is essential. Management reserves the right to limit the use of annual leave during specified timeframes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the daytoday operations services support maintenance and functions of the school systems automated applicant tracking system.
- Assists with preparation of cases for unemployment hearings and represents school system as needed.
- Ensures timely input and processing of employee data to ensure proper maintenance of employee records.
- Provides technical support and assistance as appropriate to all levels of employees regarding inquiries information difficulties and utilization of automated applicant tracking systems. Provides support for system users including applicants and newly appointed principals/managers.
- Represents the Human Resources Division at meetings presentations training sessions or other related activities regarding the applicant tracking system as assigned.
- Prepares unit reports and provides other system data to management staff to ensure systems are operating correctly.
- Researches reports and makes recommendations regarding any system problems or upgrades. Performs routine maintenance to ensure the efficient and timely operation as needed. Reports and responds immediately to any emergency situations.
- Serves as the school systems liaison with the applicant tracking software vendor. Attends any and all workshops required to maintain the efficiency of the system.
- Reconciles Online Roster information with HR data system pursuing necessary corrections/modifications.
- Prepares reports on and maintains data regarding recruitment hiring vacancies and applicants. Performs various researching assignments/special projects as directed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education
- Associates Degree in Human Resources or related field of education from a regionally accredited college or university required;
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge skills and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Experience
- One (1) year professional and/or senior level administrative office support experience in a related functional area required;
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge skills and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Knowledge Skills Abilities and Other Characteristics
- Knowledge of and experience with computerized human resources information system.
- Knowledge of and experience with online applicant systems is highly desired. Workbench (Kenexa) Certification is preferred.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Board Policy and Negotiated Agreements.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on tasks and assignments.
- Excellent oral written presentation and interpersonal communication skills with a strong customer service focus.
- Excellent Human Relations Skills
- Ability to interpret and follow written instructions and specifications communicate and work effectively and harmoniously with supervisors administrators and other employees.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated proficiency with business technology applications (e.g. Video/Web Conferencing Microsoft Office Suite Word Excel Outlook and/or PowerPoint preferred).
Licenses and Certifications
Employee must retain active licenses certifications and enrollment as a condition of employment.
- Hold or be eligible for Professional in Human Resources (PHR) issued by HR Certification Institute (HRCI) preferred; or
- Hold or be eligible for SHRM Certified Professional (SHRMCP) issued by Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) preferred.
- Hold or be eligible for Drivers License (DL) Class C NonCommercial issued by Maryland or State of Legal Residence (MVA/DMV) required; and
- Daily access to reliable transportation.
Driving Requirements
- Driving is required to conduct bona fide Board business that is within the scope of employment in this position.

CAREER LADDER REQUIREMENTS
Qualification Requirements for Employment in Higher Grade as a New Hire or Transfer requires:
- Two (2) additional years successful experience required.
- Achievement of Professional Certification or Certificate in Human Resources Business or Technology or Completion of coursework or workshops leading towards professional certification required.
Eligibility for Consideration for Advancement from Lower Grade to Higher Grade requires:
- Two (2) years continuous successful experience in the position at the Lower Grade level.
- Mastery of all responsibilities and duties of the position.
- Evidence of completion of additional training that may be recommended by supervisor and/or participation in approved professional development programs or courses approved in advance by the supervisor. Successful completion of a minimum of one professional development within the last two years is required. Successful completion of job specific professional developments identified on the job description performance evaluations and/or the supervisors documented recommendation are required.
- Achievement of identified goals as they relate to the needs of the district and as established by the supervisor.
- Consistent maintenance of an effective and orderly work environment.
- Consistent compliance with general office procedures such as standards contained in the AACPS Employee Handbook; demonstration of discretion and excellent customer service; regular and punctual attendance; and building dress code including wearing AACPS ID badge.
- Above Satisfactory overall job performance for the two most recent consecutive years of Performance Ratings.
- Letter of Recommendation written by the supervisor.
