Weekend PM: FriSun 6:00 PM 6:30 AM
As a Sr Process Technician you will play a crucial role in our maintenance team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. This position offers an outstanding opportunity to work within a worldclass environment ensuring flawless operations and supplying to our ambitious goals. Your responsibilities will include:
- Intervening in production issues related to mechanical pneumatic and electrical maintenance
- Performing tooling changes machine setups and making inprocess adjustments
- Rebuilding calibrating and configuring sealing components and controls
- Documenting clear and detailed information regarding machine downtime repairs and critical process controls
- Participating in equipment installation
- Testing equipment to ensure efficiency and performance needs are met
- Maintaining repairing and rebuilding various production machines and equipment
- Following all safety and cGMP requirements
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Education: Associates degree in related field.
Experience:
- Required: Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a manufacturing operations production or lab setting or related field
Preferred:
- Calibrating and Configurations of Toss Controllers and components
- Use CMMS for record keeping of PMs Repairs and Installations.
- Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of equipment based on industrial process controls and pneumatics including PLC Programmable Logic Controllers reed switches valves relays temperature controllers and solenoids
- Stand and move about including reaching bending stooping grasping
- Use hand tools and equipment including forceful gripping grasping pushing and pulling
- Infrequently lift and manipulate up to 50 pounds max unassisted
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Ability to work in a fastpaced controlled cleanroom environment 8 to 12 hours a day depending on shift with additional overtime as required for production schedule consistency
- The Clean room is controlled environment for temperature and humidity having low ambient noise.
- Specific gowning is required including gloves hair & beard net and face cover safety glasses with no makeup / jewelry and the like.
- Ability to use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and understand chemical hygiene
