The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Engineer Developer to join the Phantom Works Autonomy & Mission Planning team located in St. Louis Missouri. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization. Phantom Works is an advanced research and development organization responsible for engaging customers through cuttingedge visual modeling and simulation; innovating crosscutting concepts and technologies; prototyping solutions to extend current products and win new programs; and developing new businesses and entering new markets. The organization is seeking software engineers to perform software design and development for autonomous systems.

The selected team member enjoys working collaboratively with others has a commitment to customer satisfaction and process improvement and is successful working in a multicontract/multiprogram environment. He/she will support the development of solutions to a wide range of complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation. He/she should be adaptable to new development environments and eager to work with and learn new technologies.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

• Designs develops tests and maintains nonembedded software throughout the endtoend lifecycle that meets industry customer safety and regulation standards.
• Reviews analyzes and translates customer requirements into initial design of software products.
• Lead junior engineers in software development
• Perform use case development for software requirements
• Perform software architecture trade studies and modifications to meet new requirements
• Develop interface definitions
• Perform unit and integration testing
• Participate in peer reviews
• Support system and flight testing
• Create software documentation

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• Ability to obtain Secret US Security clearance (PostStart)
• 5 years Software Engineering experience
• 2 years Software language experience including C Python and/or Java
• Realtime software development experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
• Autonomy and/or robotics software techniques
• Secret U.S. Security Clearance
• Experience with Agile Software development process
• Simulation development experience
• Experience with Continuous integration practices
• Usage of software development tools such as JIRA GIT and Jenkins
• Software testing experience
