Job Description
The Machine Operator SMT will assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) operate automated manufacturing equipment and perform the following duties listed below:
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and operate a solder screen printer Pick and Place machine and reflow oven.
- Daily machine performance verifications prior to production runs.
- Reads worksheets and wiring diagrams receives verbal instructions or follows sample assemblies selects components such as transistors resistors relays capacitors and integrated circuits.
- Must be able to perform repetitive production line operations daily.
- Maintain necessary documentation.
- Ensure work area is clean and organized.
- Completes any additional assignments as requested by Department Supervisor.
- Comply with and ensure department compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications :
Technical Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret graphs and charts.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations to employees of the organization.
- JSTD001 Highly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Manual dexterity while handling extremely small and sensitive components.
- Ability to perform respective tasks
Experience: Minimum of one two years of in line SMT experience or Pick and Place machine experience required.
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent from a vocational school or one (1) year related experience and/or training preferred.
Security: U.S. Person required (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident). May be required to obtain a security clearance.
