Job Title:Occupational Therapist
Band:Band 6
Hours:36 hours per week
Location:Bootle Lancashire
Rate:Competitive to be discussed upon application

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our esteemed private clients dynamic team based in Bootle Lancashire. This position is available for an immediate start offering competitive rates.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Occupational Therapist you will play a pivotal role in promoting health and independence through the delivery of highquality occupational therapy assessments and interventions. You will assist with a backlog within childrens OT providing clinical leadership supervision and consultation to the wider multidisciplinary team. You will demonstrate highly specialist expertise in areas such as occupational engagement environmental adaptation and the development and maintenance of skills for meaningful participation. Your experience in managing a designated caseload will be key using both theoretical knowledge and practical experience to complete assessments plan and implement interventions and evaluate outcomes aligned with care plans. Your responsibilities will also include effective communication with a variety of stakeholders including clinicians managers directors people accessing services carers family members and external agencies. You will offer compassionate and effective leadership to junior staff including support staff and assistants and ensure the successful delivery of occupational therapy student placements. Additionally you will support junior staff through appraisals and personal development plans and be responsible for developing and implementing relevant policies protocols and care pathways to maintain high standards of care.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • An Occupational Therapy professional qualification.
  • Extensive and relevant postqualification clinical experience with children and young people who have complex needs.
  • Extensive experience of applying occupational frames of reference and approaches.
  • Highly effective clinical reasoning skills.
  • Highly specialist knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models.
  • Knowledge of how to work with neurodiverse individuals.
