Job Description
- Deep cleaning of kitchen equipment and kitchens and backspaces after operating hours.
- Ensure all kitchen floors ovens deep fat fryers flat tops stove tops exhaust systems and hoods kettles smoker hoods walls fridge doors and ceiling tiles are cleaned and meet sanitation standards.
- Discard used fryer oil in correct container as per established procedures.
- Clean all foodservice utensils dishes glassware pots and pans and kitchen foodpreparation tools either by hand or using a commercial dishwasher.
- Sort and stack dishware glassware and kitchen equipment and tools.
- Sweep and mop kitchen and stewarding area floor and collect and remove garbage and recycling.
Qualifications :
- Previous kitchen or stewarding experience is an asset
- Keen attention to detail and high standards for cleanliness and sanitation
- Physically capable of standing and walking throughout an 8hour shift; frequently lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 pounds / 18 kg; and frequently leaning crouching bending twisting pushing pulling scrubbing and reaching above and below shoulder height
- Available to work overnight shifts between 10:30 pm and 7:00 am
- Reliable selfmotivated and able to work productively while unsupervised
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
