Are you a musician or boardcertified music therapist with a compassionate heart Join our hospice team as aMusic Therapy Volunteerand use the gift of music to bring peace comfort and connection to patients and families during the endoflife journey.
What Youll Do:
- Provide live music experiencesfor hospice patients in homes care centers or inpatient facilities
- Use soothing music to help ease pain anxiety and emotional distress
- Play instruments sing familiar songs or create calming soundscapes tailored to each patients preferences
- Offer gentle compassionate presence and support for family members and caregivers
- Collaborate with the hospice care team to ensure appropriate respectful and meaningful visits
What Youll Need:
Experience as a musician singer or boardcertified music therapist
Compassionate sensitive and calming presence
Comfort working with individuals who are terminally ill and their families
Ability to adapt music selection and delivery to different needs moods and situations
