Chickering Elementary School is seeking a Speech/Language Pathologist 6 FTEResponsibilities include:Conduct comprehensive screenings and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in studentsDevelop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and in consultation with teachers parents and other professionalsProvide direct therapy services to students with speech and language difficulties using evidencebased techniques and interventionsMonitor and document students progress regularly and make adjustments to treatment plans as neededCollaborate with teachers to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom curriculum and activitiesEducate and train teachers parents and other school staff on strategies to support students communication skills in the classroomWork as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess and support students with other special needs or learning disabilitiesParticipate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings providing input on students communication goals and progressStay updated on the latest research and development in the field of speech and language pathology and apply that knowledge to practiceOur district is committed to strengthening opportunities for diversity equity and inclusion.
