About the role
Gold Coast Private Hospitalis looking for a suitably qualified Clinical Nurse Specialist to fill the Level 2 Urology position on a fulltime basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.
Established in 2016 Gold Coast Private Hospital is a stateoftheart 339bed facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct in Southport.
With 22 operating theatres Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including but not limited to 24/7 Emergency Care Medical Services Orthopaedics Bariatrics Neurosurgery Plastic Surgery ENT (Ear Nose and Throat) General Surgery Obstetrics Cardiac Care and Oncology.

As a Clinical Nurse for the Surgical specialty your responsibilities will include:
Support the nursing team with planning assessment implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence based person centred care
Demonstrate professional practice as evidence by adhering to AHPRA professional standards code of ethics and conduct legislative requirements and Healthscopes polices and processes
Foster a learning environment through clinical presentations to support the nursing team with their professional development and maintaining own professional learning and continuous professional development and providing supervision and teaching to peers novices graduates and students
Act as a valued member of the interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices
Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuum
Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners using a customer service mindset to enable high quality patient outcomes
Rounding with surgeons from your specialty regarding equipment list scheduling and communicating with the Nurse Unit Manager regarding staffing
Reviewing all lists for your specialty in advance to ensure equipment consumables and staffing are adequate
Actively participating in hospital Standard meetings as allocated
Relieving for floor coordinators as required
