Quality Staffing Inc. also doing business as Goddard Mason Executive Search a leading fullservice employment agency matching qualified talent with some of the areas top companies is looking for an experienced PRN Licensed Practical Nurseto work through our agency as acontractemployee for the Tennessee Department of Human Services (TN DHS) located in Smyrna Tennessee. The available shifts are 2nd shift working Monday through Friday from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pmand the weekend shift working Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. The pay rate for this positionis $32.00 per hour.
PRN LPN Job Description:
The PRN LPN assists in the daytoday functions within the campus First Aid Center as well as providing personcentered education to students to promote individual independence. The PRN LPN reports to the First Aid Center RN and is responsible for performing nursing tasks such as medication observation treatments documentation within the students health record and providing care to individuals with physical developmental and intellectual disabilities. The PRN LPN reports to the Tennessee Rehabilitation Center on a schedule which includes nights and weekends.
PRN LPN Shifts Available:
- 2nd Shift:
- Monday through Friday 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm (7.5 hours of work with an unpaid 30minute lunch break). *Please provide availability upon applying.
- Weekend Shift:
- Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am to 9:00 pm (11 hours of work and two unpaid 1hour lunch breaks). *Please provide availability upon applying.
PRN LPN Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Assess students at the First Aid Center with a triage approach
- Record vital signs
- Observe students selfadministering medications and document progress
- Oversee the medication observation process
- Perform treatments as ordered by providers
- Respond to medical emergencies on campus
- Document essential findings in the students medical record
- Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team
- Attend meetings as requested
- Adhere to established protocols and procedures
- Work with a variety of students who have physical mental and developmental disabilities
- Administer nursing care in a schoolbased setting
- Manage supplies and inventory in a fiscally responsible way
- Possess the ability to initiate tasks autonomously when needed
- On time for shifts and reliable
- Present to customers in a cheerful positive manner
- Assist with ADLs as needed
- Possess knowledge of adaptive equipment
Qualifications Needed for PRN LPN position:
- Currently licensed as a practical nurse in the state of Tennessee
- Possess knowledge of basic laboratory practices
- Effective communication and listening skills
- Ability to provide clear concise information in a classroom setting
- Basic knowledge of electronic data usage
- Must have exceptional customer service skills
- Basic skills using Microsoft Office (Excel Work PowerPoint & Outlook)
