The Senior Investment Research Analyst in Wealth Management (WM) Portfolio Research works closely with the Director of Manager Research to apply leading research to the WM investment selection process. The Sr. Analyst is responsible for supporting and often leading efforts around manager sourcing due diligence and ongoing monitoring responsibilities with particular emphasis on private markets.
Major Duties:
Sourcing initial due diligence and ongoing monitoring for potential and current investments across private equity real estate infrastructure and credit within a teambased approach on behalf of the Investment Advisory Committee (IAC);
Support the IAC manager selection and monitoring process through manager interviews performance and risk evaluation and operational due diligence assessments;
Written and verbal presentation of due diligence reports and concluding opinions at monthly IAC meetings;
Development of published investment research thought leadership and education of advisors and endclients.
Knowledge:
Expert knowledge of academic and practitioner research in financial economics and investments with strong quantitative skills in data analytics and statistical methods.
Ability to apply financial theory and economic intuition to empirical investment analysis and extend analysis to include qualitative considerations.
Indepth knowledge of private markets including current trends and best practices along with a robust network of relationships within the industry for sourcing opportunities and insights.
Requires excellent written and oral communication skills critical thinking leadership skills and the ability to collaborate.
The ability to code in R or Python is a plus.
Experience:
710 years investment experience. MBA (or PhD) / CFA / CAIA preferred.
Salary Range:
$USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
