Job Description

Discover Impactful Work:

As a Scientist II you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative team and will play a critical role in performing Quality Control assays and experiments on molecular biology reagents for global use in research and commercial products in the life sciences industry.

A Day in the Life:

• Qualifying product(s) in a lab setting following standard operating procedures
• Performing various assays which may include the following: PCR qPCR Bioanalyzer HPLC HPIC small/medium nucleic acid purification Polyacrylamide and Agarose Gel Electrophoresis Cloning and Transformation FRET Flow Cytometry and radiation assays.
• Supporting the Radiation Safety Program
• Creating and maintaining specification batch records and other work order documents
• Analyzing data and making detailed observations to ensure product quality
• Initiating and processing problem notifications for deviations and material nonconformance
• Maintaining equipment product inventories and related records

Keys to Success:

Education and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Biology Molecular Biology Biochemistry Biotechnology or a related field preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or research laboratory setting with 1 year handling radioactive materials such as Phosphorus32 (32 P) required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in scientific laboratory techniques and equipment
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 ISO 13485 and/or GMP manufacturing environment
