Job Description
The Richland RIV School District is seeking a qualified and compassionate K12 Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. We are looking for an individual who is committed to meeting the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities and who believes in the potential of every child to succeed.
Responsibilities Include:
Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
Providing direct instruction and support in academic behavioral and functional skills
Collaborating with general education teachers parents and service providers
Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation
Participating in IEP meetings student evaluations and data collection
Creating a positive inclusive and structured classroom environment
Complying with all federal state and local special education laws and procedures
Qualifications:
Valid Missouri teaching certificate in Special Education (K12 or appropriate crosscategorical area)
Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred)
Strong knowledge of IDEA IEP development and evidencebased instructional practices
Excellent communication collaboration and organizational skills
Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
