Job Description
Position Description:
The individual accepting this assignment will teach physical educationat the middle school level (grades 68)and elective courses.
1. Must communicate effectively with parents staff and students.
2. Will teach Activities/Fitness.
3. Must work effectively with students of varying abilities.
Special Requirements: (Licensure training specialty skills or previous experience)
1. Valid Oregon teaching license appropriate to the assignment.
2. Physical Education endorsement required.
3. Background in weight training preferred.
4. Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
5. Provide structure and leadership to facilitate physical education curriculum change and assist in identifying physical education curricular needs.
6. Provide advice and consultation in regard to District policy formation and priorities as they affect physical education.
7. Ability to work well with other staff students and parents.
This position is 0.5 FTE (half time); 191 days per year.
Start date 8/25/2025
New staff inservice will be held 8/19/20258/20/2025 and will be paid in addition to contract days.
