As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banks Equities Tech Group youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the development of serverside applications using Java and Spring.
- Design and develop scalable architectures ensuring performance efficiency.
- Implement messaging frameworks with a preference for Kafka.
- Develop and execute automated testing strategies including endtoend testing.
- Collaborate effectively within an agile team setting and communicate with key stakeholders.
- Provide DevOps production support to ensure application stability and address business queries.
- Mentor junior developers and drive design and code review sessions.
- Add to team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 yearsapplied experience
- Strong handson experience with Java and Spring serverside development.
- Proficiency with NoSql databases Cassandra
- Expertise in designing scalable architectures and developing performanceefficient applications.
- Experience with messaging frameworks particularly ActiveMQ Tibco.
- Proficiency in automated testing including endtoend processes.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to provide DevOps support and mentor junior team members.
- Capability to lead design and code review sessions.
- Indepth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience with AWS and cloud services.
- Good Understanding UI development using React JS/.Net
- Familiarity with container technologies.
- Understanding of DevOps practices including CI/CD.
- Knowledge of SRE concepts such as monitoring and log tracing.
