Job Description
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW
Job Summary:This position will be responsible for the pickup and delivery of packages to various locations throughout the city. The driver must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Shipping & Receiving:loading and unloading of cylinder trailers. Supplying P&D trucks as well as distributor trucks with the cylinders and products required for their needs. Supplying shipping documents as well as placards to all customers you serve.
- Anticipation of customer needs:prioritizes and works with sales and customer service teams to ensure customers daily needs are met.
- Process improvement:employee works with his/her team on a daily basis to improve AL work processes to gain efficiencies.
- Safety:required to work in a safe manner while handling cylinders and products at all times.
- Use your welding knowledge and experience to deliver products to our customers and help them find the right supplies for their projects and business needs
- Learn new computer systems enabling you to give accurate information pricing and quotes for our customers.
- Get to know our customer base both on the front line and making deliveries learn about our products and mentor from our Outside Sales Team and Managers to grow your advancement opportunities!
Required Qualifications:
- Class DZ licence with Air Brakes endorsement (for coverage) is required
- Welding knowledge/experience/education is a strong asset
- Prior experience in Shipping/Receiving is an asset
- Ability to comfortably move and lift 50lbs on a regular basis.
- Selfmotivated goal orientated and strong problem solving skills are aMUST
- Strong Computer Literacy is a MUST
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including comfort working with customers and within a team centered environment.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
- 12 years of customer service or Sales experience
- Ability to adapt well to fastpaced environments with changing circumstances direction and strategy
Highly Desirable Qualifications:
- Proficient in the google suite
- Oracle experience is considered a STRONG asset
- Forklift experience is a strong asset
Education:
- Background Schooling or Technical diploma in Welding or cylinder knowledge/experience is strongly preferred.
