OCL Group Inc. is proudly 100% Canadian owned and operated. We are a privately held employeeowned fully integrated general contractor with designbuild solutions across Western Canada. We have been serving the energy and municipal infrastructure markets since 2009.

The formation of OCL was a direct result of a few longtenured industry professionals with entrepreneurial spirits wanting to get back to their roots and build an organization where people matter. The Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced Ironworkers to join our team at Kearl Oilsands a major oil sands site in Northern Alberta. The successful candidates will work in a safetyfirst environment on a 14/14 rotation. Camp accommodations and meals provided. Charter flights provided from designated hubs in Edmonton and Calgary.

Compensation/Benefits

• CLAC hourly wage: Journeyman $52.00/hr 3rd Year $46.80/hr
• Payday is every Friday
• Company contributed RRSP & Pension contributions
• Benefits after 300 hours
• Paid training
• 10% vacation and stat holiday pay on regular earnings
• OT at 1.5 after 8 hours per day

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and project drawings
• Install and align structural steel components including columns beams and platforms
• Use cranes rigging and hoisting equipment to lift and position heavy materials
• Bolt weld or rivet steel assemblies per engineered specifications
• Work on elevated platforms and scaffolding within confined spaces or remote site areas
• Ensure proper handling and installation of steel in accordance with environmental and project safety regulations
• Collaborate with other trades and disciplines to meet schedule deadlines
• Adhere to OCL Group and IOL safety procedures.

Requirements

• Journeyperson Ironworker Certification
• Registered Apprentice
• Experience with multiplate assembly is preferred and considered an asset.
• Previous experience working in an industrial setting is an asset
• Strong rigging fitting and steel erecting experience
• Must have valid safety tickets: OSSA CSTS2020 Fall Protection WHMIS 2015
• Ensure a safe team environment
• Adhere to all company and worksite safety and quality processes and procedures.
• Strong communication skills
• Desire to work in a team environment
• Comfortable working outside in various weather conditions
• Must be able to pass a preemployment drug and alcohol test
• Must complete a criminal background check
