The Team Lead Cash Receivables and Payments is responsible for leading the cash receipts and payments department including activities to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time and driving process improvements. This role is a key member of the Cash Management team and requires an understanding of cash receipts payment processes and systems utilized strong leadership capabilities and the ability to collaborate influence and communicate effectively across business functions.
What youll do:
Lead and motivate the Cash Receivables and Payments team through coaching mentorship and daytoday guidance
Oversee and optimize daily weekly and monthly cash operations to ensure accuracy timeliness and compliance
Collaborate with stakeholders to modernize the delegation of authority policy and streamline processes
Ensure compliance with Cenovus internal controls over financial reporting
Play an active role in enterprisewide initiatives that impact Treasury and cash management
Review and approve monthly account reconciliations with a strong eye for detail and risk
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
A bachelors degree in finance or accounting
Designation such as a Chartered Professional Accountant (or legacy equivalent) or Chartered Financial Analyst is an asset
Minimum 8 years of related work experience
