Job Description

The Reliability Manager will spearhead the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the performance of manufacturing equipment across a large complex facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager this role will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to drive operational excellence ensure regulatory compliance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

This position will analyze data to identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability reducing downtime and increasing overall efficiency prioritizing the safety of employees products and the environment. This position will also leverage automation and modern technologies such as Industry 4.0 solutions to optimize asset lifecycle and performance.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • Strategy Development & Planning: Participating in annual and longterm reliability and capital planning and strategizing for automation projects in support of the 10YS.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Develop and implement continuous improvement programs for Process Safety Management (PSM) mechanical integrity ReliabilityBased Maintenance (RBM) production accounting Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and rotating equipment management.
  • Data Analysis and Corrective Action Implementation: Analyze product failure data to identify root causes and trends implementing corrective actions to enhance product reliability and minimize downtime collaborating with KHMS and Maintenance. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment reliability and maintenance costs leveraging data analytics to drive informed decisionmaking and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Finance Budget and Resource Management: Manage and optimize the reliability engineering and inspection budget and resources to ensure efficient and effective operations while conducting Management of Change (MOC) reviews and leading the development of a Condition Monitoring (CM) program based on failure modes consequences and criticality. Optimize maintenance strategies to achieve cost reductions associated with downtime repairs and spare parts while maintaining high standards of equipment performance.
  • Proactive Risk Management & Problem Solving: Identify potential risks to platform reliability and proactively addressing them before they escalate including conducting root cause analysis implementing corrective actions and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to minimize risks.
  • Development of Technical Expertise: Develop technical subject matter experts and engineering technicians responsible for maintaining the reliability and efficiency of critical areas within the plant including processing utilities and packaging.
  • Drive Implementation of the KHMS Maintenance Pillar and Continuous Improvement: Lead the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs across the manufacturing facility ensuring ongoing enhancements to processes and practices.
  • Enhance Equipment Reliability: Focus on improving equipment reliability minimizing downtime and optimizing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) through proactive maintenance and performance monitoring.
  • Collaboration and CrossFunctional Leadership: Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including production engineering and maintenance to ensure alignment and effective implementation of TPM initiatives across all departments.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensures compliance and best practices: Ensures standard reliability and maintenance work processes are followed implements and tracks maintenance KPIs and facilitates best practice environmental health and safety programs.
  • Maintains documentation and systems: Develops and maintains plant preventative maintenance programs documents corrective action on preventive maintenance performed and assists in the development implementation and maintenance of KHMS to assure compliance with quality and food safety requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 57 years of increasing responsibility in plant maintenance or equipment reliability leadership experience within manufacturing with a proven track record of driving transformational change and achieving operational excellence.
  • Bachelors degree in engineering Industrial Technology or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems process hazard analysis and process safety management with a strong understanding of highspeed and highvolume food manufacturing processes packaging project management utilities facilities construction and regulatory compliance with FDA OSHA GMPs Sanitation and HACCP.
  • Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles maintenance practices process hazard analysis and process safety management including knowledge of mechanical integrity FMEA methodologies and Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Analytical ProblemSolving Skills & Digital literacy: Strong analytical capabilities to assess project performance identify opportunities for improvement and develop effective strategies that enhance operational efficiency and productivity. Familiarity with digital tools that enhance continuous improvement.
  • Interpersonal Leadership Coaching & Team Development: Demonstrated ability to motivate. coach and empower team members fostering a positive and collaborative work environment while effectively managing conflict and promoting teamwork and engagement.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills to effectively oversee reliability initiatives budget management and resource allocation.
  • Communication Change Management & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying information and engaging with employees at all levels. Ability to lead change and foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement. Ability to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams stakeholders and leadership ensuring alignment and support for initiatives.

  • Strategic Planning & Thinking: Ability to champion continuous improvement and lead crossfunctional teams towards achieving operational excellence. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies and knowledge of engineering management systems including computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and enterprise asset management (EAM) software.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles including Six Sigma and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
  • Professional designations such as Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP).
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and weekend work.

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$102100.00 $127600.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performancebased bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidates geographic region jobrelated knowledge skills and experience among other factors
