Position Function:
This role will provide opportunities to experience firsthand Sports Science in the Southeastern conference. The program offers detailed involvement in operations surrounding training recovery sport practice and games for football. The Sports Science fellow will assist the develop of team goals. Collaboration with sport coaches strength and conditioning performance dietetics sports medicine sports psychology and university administration will be priority. Continuous improvement of communication primarily through clean measurement organization and datadissemination will be necessary. The Director of Football Sports Science will orient this positions focus and provide opportunities for creativity while maintaining the integrity of the teams goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Support the Director of Football Sports Science in the daily monitoring of player output/training/return to play protocols/visualization.
2. Collaborate with the performance staff football coaches and administration.
3. Assist in the operation of technologies such as Catapult Hawkin Dynamics 1080 Sprint as well R PowerBi and/or Excel and willingness to enhance proficiency.
4. Assist with undergraduate and graduate students getting internship experience.
5. Assist in the development of projects as directed by the department head.
6. Assist with other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position could have supervisory responsibility for student volunteers and interns.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Sports Science Exercise Science Exercise Physiology Biomechanics or related field.
Certified or eligible for certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Association (SCCC).
Valid CPR/First Aid/AED certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross or ability to attain within 2 months of starting position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree in in Sports Science Exercise Science Exercise Physiology Biomechanics or related fields.
Operational experience with technologies such as Catapult Hawkin Dynamics 1080 Sprint as well R PowerBi and/or Excel and willingness to enhance proficiency
Applied setting experience with sports of college level or higher.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of certain fundamental concepts.
Ability to work long and irregular hours.
Ability to travel.
Ability to work in extreme weather temperatures.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Regularly involves lifting bending or other physical exertion. Often exposed to one or more elements such as heat cold noise dirt chemicals etc.
Job frequently requires walking standing lifting sitting reaching talking hearing and handling objects with hands.
Requires handling of heavy weight objects up to 100 lbs. on a regular basis and on occasion up to 150 lbs.
