You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer on Strykers Sage new product development team you will play a key role in designing and developing innovative medical devices that make a real impact on patients lives. You will contribute to complex projects applying both foundational and advanced engineering skills while growing your expertise with the support of a collaborative crossfunctional team. You will need to live within commuting distance to our Cary Illinois office. You will need to be in the office 3 days a week (MondayWednesday) and can work from home on other days.
Research design develop and verify innovative medical devices with minimal supervision.
Translate customer needs and design inputs into engineering specifications and produce subsystem level designs.
Prototype and analyze design solutions to validate concepts and drive development decisions.
Apply fundamental engineering concepts practices and procedures to solve complex technical challenges.
Ensure compliance with medical device regulations design controls risk management and maintain thorough engineering documentation such as the Design History file.
Collaborate crossfunctionally with R&D Quality Manufacturing Regulatory Clinical and Marketing teams to drive project success with minimal supervision.
Demonstrate strong ownership prioritize tasks effectively and contribute to a highperforming team environment under minimal supervision.
Build product knowledge understand clinical applications and develop awareness of financial modeling related to product development.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering or related discipline.
2 years of relevant work experience in research and development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks Creo or similar platforms).
Working knowledge and understanding of design principles.
Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to product design.
Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g. medical device aerospace automotive or similar).
Ability to communicate basic plans and technical information clearly to team members.
