RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
- Medical Systems Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety security hygiene and emotional wellbeing of all participants maintaining standards consistent with those expected of a responsible guardian.
- Administer medications in accordance with prescriptions and parental instructions ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide first aid care to trainees guests and employees following industry standards for emergency medical procedures.
- Conduct thorough assessments of individuals presenting with physical or behavioral symptoms ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of medical records accident reports and examinations.
- Refer individuals to appropriate healthcare facilities when treatment beyond the USSRCs capabilities is needed following professional referral protocols.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding any medical treatment or conditions requiring hospital care.
- Ensure parents are promptly notified in cases of medical discharge injury or illness.
- Train USSRC employees on healthrelated matters including first aid emergency protocols and communicable disease prevention.
- Ensure accurate completion of medical forms and notify relevant departments of any special medical requirements.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of medical records and adhere to legal and professional standards.
- Ensure the nursing office is adequately stocked with necessary supplies for daily operations.
- Comply with legal and professional standards in the storage and management of medications and prescriptions.
- Arrange for timely transportation for trainees needing hospital care coordinating as necessary.
- Complete all medicalrelated tasks accurately and on schedule meeting the Director of Nursings expectations.
- Nursing and Staffing Responsibilities
- Oversee the selection hiring orientation training evaluation and discipline of nursing staff meeting the expectations of the Director of Nursing and VP of Human Resources.
- Provide timely and relevant training to nursing staff to ensure they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.
- Ensure nursing staff adhere to all USSRC policies procedures and departmental guidelines.
- Optimize nursing staff schedules to ensure productivity and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Ensure nursing staff complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.
- Meet or exceed expectations set by the Director of Nursing for the completion of all relevant tasks and assignments.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Level of Supervision: This role includes supervising nursing staff by overseeing hiring training performance evaluations and ensuring adherence to USSRC policies and industry standards. Responsibilities also involve managing staffing schedules delegating tasks and ensuring that all medical procedures and documentation are completed accurately and on time. The supervisor will provide leadership and support to the nursing team promote a positive and efficient work environment and collaborate with other departments to ensure highquality medical care and services for participants.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education
- S. Degree in Nursing and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Must hold a valid Alabama License.
Required Experience
- 24 years of experience in a hospital or clinic setting with a focus on pediatric and adolescent practice.
- 02 years of supervisory experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with a 101key keyboard and knowledge of DOS and Windows operating systems including basic word processing and spreadsheet applications.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Physical Requirements
- The position involves a range of physical tasks including walking and climbing stairs to access various buildings and departments sitting for extended periods (up to 46 hours) and carrying or lifting supplies weighing up to 30 pounds to waist height. The role requires bending kneeling and using sight touch and wrist movements to administer medications provide first aid operate a computer terminal and assess patient conditions. Effective verbal and auditory communication are essential for interacting with patients parents and employees in person and over the phone.

Environmental Factors
- This role is based in a climatecontrolled clinical environment and involves working in confined spaces alongside other staff members. It requires regular interaction with children parents guests and employees. As with any healthcare position the role entails exposure to potential hazards associated with the profession.
