Grad Coop Operations EHS Thousand Oaks CA (June 2025 June 2026)

What You Will Do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. Amgens Environment Health Safety (EHS) department in our Thousand Oaks CA headquarters is looking for a graduate student interested in a 12month Coop daily onsite assignment (June 2025 June 2026). The position will be responsible for the following:

• Assist in the continuous improvement of Occupational Health programming.
• Support the implementation of new elements within our industrial ergonomics program.
• Assist with providing support for the Ergonomics program including performing ergonomic assessments.
• Assist in the assessment of ergonomic risk factors and implementation of control strategies.
• Perform data review and trend analysis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a coop assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

• 18 years or older
• Graduated with a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
• Currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Masters program for a Masters internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR Ph.D. for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year of MBA OR Masters OR Pharm D OR Ph.D. program before the internship starts
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or coop assignment
• Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
• Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the coop

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree concentrations in Ergonomics Industrial Hygiene Environmental and Occupational Health Kinesiology Exercise Physiology Athletic Training or Physical Therapy
• Knowledge of ergonomic assessment tools
• Applied knowledge of Cal/OSHA OSHA and EPA regulations
• Working knowledge of ergonomic principles and practices
• Strong written verbal and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize effectively in a rapidly evolving environment
• Computer literate including MS Office Suite

The base pay range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $30 $40 per hour.
