Job Description
Main Responsibilities
As a key member of our field service team you will:
- Inspect service and maintain HVAC equipment and systems for optimal performance. This includes mobile HVAC systems on heavyduty industrial and offroad equipment.
- Respond to service calls repair components promptly and maintain documentationfor compliance and customer communication.
- Utilize your troubleshooting skills andshare your knowledge and experience to deliver timely and effective solutions.
- Maintain a customerfocused mindsetand proactively seek solutions to meet customer needs.
- Manage and maintain service vehicle inventory proactively addressing customer needs and minimizing downtime.
- Crosstrain and support the inspection service and installation of vehicle fire suppression systems and portable fire extinguishers.
- Provide inshop supportand contribute to overall team operations when needed.
- Promote a safetyfirst cultureby completing all required inspections certifications and adhering to company safety policies.
- Flexibly in performing additional duties as required including supporting our other branches across Canada.
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years experience with HVAC systems in mobile and/or industrial settings and proven ability to troubleshoot repair and maintain such systems.
- Valid Red Seal certification (Journeyman) in any of the following trades: HVAC Automotive services Heavy equipment or Truck and trailer.
- Customerfocused mindsetwith excellent communication skills.
- Adaptable and able to respond effectively to changes and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Computer savvy and comfortable using iPadstablets to complete online reports etc.
- Previous fire equipment servicing experienceis an asset.
- The ability to pass preemployment and periodic preaccess drug & alcohol testingas per customer site requirements and a valid clean drivers abstract.
Safety Compliance
In this physically demanding role the successful candidate must be:
- Able to lift and carry up to coupled with good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Work in restricted spaces such as engine compartments
- Work on heights on large mine equipment using ladders and walkways
- Driving and sitting for extended periods of time
- Frequent walking on uneven terrain on customer sites
- Professional reliable and safetyfocused
You will support a strong safety culture and service team by being a part of regular safety meetings ensuring adherence to safe work practices and proactively identifying and addressing hazards. This role models safe behavior works closely with the Quality team to uphold service standards and contributes to incident prevention and continuous improvement in safety performance.
