The Sheraton Melbournesalesteamisseekinga dynamic Groups Reservations Manager tojoin our team to manage the hotels group bookings.
The ideal candidate will be eager to advance in their role taking full ownership of group reservations and nurturing this key area for the hotels success.
A summary of the role:
- *Responsible for the managing of group reservations / blocks once confirmed and handed over from the sales team
- *Responsible for driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
- *Follow up on NoShows and late cancelations and process charges appropriately
- *Proactively seek to generate incremental revenue via upselling promoting hotel F&B Venues and other hotel services and amenities.
- Provides service to our customers to grow share of the account on behalf of the company.
- *Close communication with other hotel departments to ensure the hotel has the necessary information in the group summary
- *Handing group room block monitoring rooming lists reporting pick up VIP and upgraded accommodations
- Conduct their duties in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the hotels policies and procedures ensuring that a high level of service is maintained and ensure PCI compliance is always adhered to.
AboutYou:
- Previous experience in a Group Reservations role in a 4 or 5star hotel
- Knowledge of the Opera PMS system
- FullWorkingrightsinAustraliaisrequiredforthisrole
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint) and Outlook
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
