Job Description

The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus is looking for a Senior Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with complex physical dysfunctions disorders and/or injuries. This position will be assigned to the inpatient orthopedics setting.

  • Provide quality patient care evaluation assessment and treatment appropriate for patients needs. Assignment will primarily be to adult inpatient acute care setting
  • Evaluate and instruct patients in home treatment programs
  • Perform routine and assigned administrative tasks in an efficient manner
  • Participate in divisional quality/process improvement activities and recommend opportunities for improvement in service quality
  • Attend and participate in educational programs and provide educational experiences as assigned
  • Maintain effective working relationships with faculty staff students and the public
  • Performs special projects and tasks as assigned
  • Positive Impact/Achieving Results: Ability to utilize existing resources and learning to achieve or exceed desired outcomes of current and future organizational goals/needs. Able to demonstrate ethical behavior in a variety of situations while producing results

The new University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus will open in the Spring of 2025. This 469000 square foot facility will be home to UI Health Cares nationally recognized Orthopedics service line offering comprehensive coordinated and accessible care across the outpatient inpatient and surgical venues. These stateoftheart clinical facilities will also include a fullservice community imaging center laboratory services physical therapy occupational therapy retail pharmacy and emergency department as well as an array of support services. The facility has been designed to support a superior patient and staff experience; excellence across our patient care teaching and research missions; convenient access to services; and engaging community partnerships. UI Health Care is seeking a welcoming highlyskilled and collaborative workforce to be a part of the opening team for this superb new campus and to help further our mission of: Changing Medicine.
