*This position is at our skilled nursing facility Ingraham Manor located at 400 North Main Street Bristol CT.
Provides direct clinical care services to clients under the direction of Director / Charge Nurse.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Effectively participates in the clinical care of clients in support of the nursing function
Actively participates in the delivery of care services to clients in accordance with the facility standards.
Ensures residents rights are maintained in the course of the delivery of care.
Environmental care promotes a health and orderly environment for the community of residents within the facility.
Resident safety is always assured.

Educational / Minimum Requirements: High School Graduate or GED or enrolled in high school. Graduate of CNA longterm care certified training program.
State/Federal Mandated Licensure or Certification Requirements: Current CT CNA registration.
Bristol Hospital Mandated Educational Requirements: General orientation at time of hire. Fire/Safety/Infection Control annually. Other programs as mandated by Ingraham Manor and Ingraham Adult Day Center.
Special Requirements: Must demonstrate patience and kindness toward clients and families. Must enjoy working with geriatric population. Must possess good observation and communication skills.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform all aspects of nursing care. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Must be able to endure prolonged periods of extended walking standing and stooping. Moderate periods of sitting reaching and bending. Occasional crouching kneeling and balancing. Vision hearing smell and tactile sensation corrected or accommodated to normal.
Work Environment: Regular contact with clients families body substances and hazardous chemicals. State regulated temperature of 75 degrees; varied lighting; moderate noise. Use of various types of lifting devices.
Cognitive Requirements: Must be able to read write and follow oral and written instructions.
