Job Description
North Haven High School is seeking a Junior Varsity (JV) Coach for its Boys Soccer Program. The responsibilities for this job include but are not limited to:
Work and communicate with the North Haven Athletic Department including the athletic director administrative assistant and head coach of the soccer program in all necessary capacities
Supervise studentathletes at all times including all practices and games
Supervise studentathletes during transportation to and from away games
Assist head coach in scheduling organizing preparing and implementing practice sessions both together and individually on a regular basis to develop the studentathletes greatest potential
Demonstrate positive characteristics and serve as a role model for studentathletes Assume all duties assigned by head coach
Assist head coach in maintaining accurate inventory/record of equipment and uniforms and assist in submitting an itemized report at the end of each season to the athletic director
Assist head coach in being responsible for constant care of equipment and facilities
Assist head coach in communicating effectively with parents as it relates to studentathletes which includes being a part of the preseason meeting
The successful candidate must possess or be working towards a Connecticut Coaches Certification (must be in place before the season begins); be CPR AED and First Aid certified before the first practice; have previous coaching and/or playing experience with the sport.
