Lab Aide (Fish)
Hours: MF 5/8 hour shifts
Location: Port Jefferson

In This Role You Will:
- Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and practices.
- Ability to operate and maintain centrifuges and processing equipment authorized within the Laboratory Services Department.
- Focused on safety and quality assurance procedures with the ability to function within or above regulatory agency requirements.
- Performs multiple tasks such as; pending logs restocking of laboratory supplies disposal of biohazard waste temperature charts helping with inventory counts archiving completed work scanning records and maintenance of laboratory workflow.
- Proper usage of time management skills.
- Interact in a positive manner with supervisors managers and coworkers.
- Experienced with workflow management.
- High energy level comfortable performing multifaceted activities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; resourceful and organized.
- Assumes other duties as assigned by management.
- Understands and observes all confidentiality and HIPAA provisions.
- Ability to navigate and perform required tasks on Labdaq Onco EMR and Infinity.
- Recognizes and conveys to management any departmental improvements necessary.
We Require:
- Must have a High School Diploma at least 1 year of experience in laboratory operations preferred.
- Bi/Lingual English/Spanish speaking preferred
- Proficient in Word/Excel
