Entry Level Assembler (Level A)

Spectrolab Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Companys Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) business unit has an exciting opportunity for an Entry Level Assembler (Level A) to join our dynamic team in Sylmar California.

Spectrolab is the worlds leading merchant supplier of the highest efficiency multijunction solar cells for spacecraft power systems with proven reliability drawn from 65 years of space heritage. Spectrolabs stateoftheart space solar cells and panels power satellites in Earths orbit as well as the International Space Station.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs simple production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies subassemblies equipment and accessories using manual operations

• Complete knowledge of shop processes to include Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention material handling safety calibration requirements

• Understands wiring and gauges including basic knowledge of reading drawlings and schematics

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for various shifts (1st 2nd & 3rd). Candidates must be willing to work any shift.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. U.S. Person includes U.S. Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Experience following written and verbal work instructions

• Experience using basic Microsoft Office and office computing systems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience working in a manufacturing or assembly environment

• Ability to read and interpret system prints and schematics

• Experience soldering and terminating wiring

• Experience in wire stripping soldering and welding

• Experience in JSTD001 Soldering

• Capable of lifting 20lbs or more on a frequent basis

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).
