Job Description

Associate Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly and Installation)

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is hiring an Associate Manufacturing Engineer Assembly & Installation to support the 777X program in Berkeley MO .

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies

  • Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines

  • Develops identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build

  • Assists in implementing manufacturing plans

  • Resolves technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles theories advanced technologies and concepts

  • Assists in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies

  • Interfaces with professional associations suppliers IPTs and internal customers to develop products skills knowledge and experience

  • Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions

  • Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance cost or schedule

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science

  • 2 years of related engineering experience

  • Experience in Lean Process implementation

  • Prior engineering experience in a manufacturing or production role

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Aerospace Civil or Mechanical Engineering

  • Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers

  • Experience with 3D modelbased instruction

  • Experience with any of the following: CATIA Teamcenter/IPDM/VisMockup IBI Cognos

  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image (MESci)

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

This is a 1st shift position.
