Site Overview

Established in 2000 the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies advanced materials and additive manufacturing.

Role Overview:

  • Independently own and execute GE90/GP Fan and HPC programs requiring design analysis test or integration to define and support assigned components assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements
  • Be the first point of contact from LCE on any query from sourcing/supplier/fleet/repair/customer
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Execute and support product Key Performance Indicator (KPI) to identify leading indicators and opportunities for Continuous Improvement
  • Collaborate and Communicate with all stakeholders on project status business issues and significant developments as appropriate
  • Should network & establish strong connections with Commodity CTHs Cross functions teams viz. Shop SC Repair MAE CTPs and Shop technical teams to achieve the desired outcomes for module
  • Demonstrate clear thinking strong technical articulation manage handoffs between different organizations.
  • Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements schedules and customer commitments.
  • Leverage digital tools & analyze the data insights to drive appropriate actions on ESM limit extensions special procedures etc
  • Adopt Lean in daytoday work for process improvements
  • Demonstrate collaborative work style and teamoriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally

Ideal Candidate

Should have experience in mechanical design & analysis

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors/ Masters Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Aviation Engines or Turbo machinery Engineering position (design analysis systems services)
  • Strong Design creativity and problemsolving capabilities
  • Strong project management skills including crossfunctional coordination of activities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization both internally and externally

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with aviation engine FAN and HPC module
  • Previous experience in component hardware ownership role
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple project responsibilities
  • Understanding of manufacturing & inspection processes repair methods
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Humble: respectful receptive agile eager to learn
  • Transparent: shares critical information speaks with candor contributes constructively
  • Focused: quick learner strategically prioritizes work committed
