Athena OB/GYN an Axia Womens Health care center is seeking a Womens Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to work MF. No Weekends!3 Pennsylvania locations: Langhorne Horsham and Abington.9 Ob/Gyn Physicians and 3 Nurse PractitionersOnsite ultrasound 3D Mammography and inhouse lab Assistants are not being considered at this Summary:The Nurse Practitioner performs physical examinations confers with patients in person and by phone/electronically collaborates with others in the department to ensure a smooth flow of patient care consistent with established quality indicators and participates in the overall coordination of patient care. Other job duties include but are not limited to:Practices under the standard procedure established for the NP role consistent with Company policy and in accordance with all legal IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removals endometrial Biopsies and works with Pessaries (educating and maintenance). May perform colposcopies. Conducts ageappropriate assessments of patients including history taking and physical examination consistent with department assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner focusing on physiologic psychosocial cultural spiritual and cognitive status patient/family education family involvement and patient with supervising physician or other clinicians as dictated by patient need and assessment with physicians and other clinicians in the department to assure effective patient care consistent with quality indicators for patients cared for in the designated medical record for follow up or ordering of diagnostic studies under established effective working relationships with members of the health care team patients and knowledge of and applies safety principles as identified by the efficiently in emergency situations following established protocols remaining calm informing appropriate persons and documenting knowledge of legal issues including patient confidentiality and risk management in all aspects of patient care and unit a service philosophy in all interactions with patients families and all members of the health care proficiency in the use of computers and telecommunication modalities to document track and convey with daily patient phone associated Advanced Practice Provider :Active unrestricted Pennsylvania CRNP license and DEA or ability to obtain.12 years experience as a Womens Health Nurse Practitioner highly preferred. May consider OB/GYN RN experience. Experience with endometrial biopsies IUDs and be able to work 5 days. Flexibility to be scheduled at satellite locations.
